John McCormack

John Ronald McCormack (August 2, 1925 – February 22, 2017) was a Canadian ice hockey centre born in Edmonton, Alberta. He played in the National Hockey League with the Toronto Maple Leafs, Montreal Canadiens, and Chicago Black Hawks from 1948 to 1955. Before reaching the NHL, McCormack played for the St. Michael's Majors in Toronto, contributing 10 goals and 11 assists across nine playoff games as the Majors won the Memorial Cup in 1945. He subsequently enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy. His minor-league career included time with the Toronto Marlies, who won the Allan Cup in 1950, and the AHL Pittsburgh Hornets.
