John Rauch

John Rauch (August 20, 1927 – June 10, 2008) was an American football player and coach. A quarterback at the University of Georgia from 1945 to 1948, he led the Bulldogs to a 36–8–1 record that included four consecutive bowl appearances and an undefeated 1946 season. He earned first-team All-American honors as a senior and left Georgia as college football's all-time passing leader with 4,044 yards. Selected second overall in the 1949 NFL Draft, Rauch later moved into coaching and served as head coach of the Oakland Raiders, guiding the team to Super Bowl II in January 1968, where they lost to the Green Bay Packers.
