Johnny Lujack was an American football quarterback and safety from Connellsville, Pennsylvania. He played college football at Notre Dame, where he was a unanimous All-American in both 1946 and 1947 and won the Heisman Trophy in 1947, helping lead the Fighting Irish to national championships in each of those seasons. He went on to play professionally for the Chicago Bears of the NFL from 1948 to 1951, earning first-team All-Pro recognition in 1950. Lujack was born January 4, 1925, and died July 25, 2023.
