John Franklin Sain (September 25, 1917 – November 7, 2006) was a right-handed pitcher from Havana, Arkansas, who spent the bulk of his career with the Boston Braves from 1946 to 1951 after serving three years as a Navy pilot during World War II. He was the cornerstone of Boston's pitching staff alongside left-hander Warren Spahn and in 1948 led the National League in wins, complete games, and innings pitched, finishing as runner-up for the NL Most Valuable Player Award during the Braves' pennant-winning season. He was traded to the New York Yankees mid-1951 for Lew Burdette and cash, finishing his career with 139 wins and a 3.49 ERA.
