Julius Erving

Julius Erving is a basketball player who played the small forward position. He is an inductee of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. In recognition of his career at the position, the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame named its small forward award after him: the Julius Erving Small Forward of the Year Award, given annually to the top men's collegiate small forward. That award was created in 2015 as one of four new honors introduced at the inaugural College Basketball Awards show, alongside the Jerry West Award, the Karl Malone Award, and the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, following the earlier Bob Cousy Award.
