Ken Bowman

Ken Bowman (December 15, 1942 – December 27, 2023) was a center who played ten seasons in the NFL for the Green Bay Packers from 1964 to 1973. A product of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where he played for the Big Ten champion Badgers in 1962, Bowman was selected by Green Bay in the eighth round of the 1964 NFL draft and took over at center from Hall of Famer Jim Ringo as a rookie. He is best remembered for the 1967 Ice Bowl, where he and Jerry Kramer executed the wedge block on Jethro Pugh that opened a path for Bart Starr's winning quarterback sneak, securing a third consecutive NFL title. Bowman was later inducted into the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame.
