Ken Durrett

Dossier

Kenneth L. Durrett (December 8, 1948 – January 7, 2001) was an American professional basketball player who competed in the NBA with the Kansas City Kings and Philadelphia 76ers. The 6-foot-7 power forward starred at La Salle University from 1968 to 1971, where he averaged 23.6 points per game and led the Philadelphia Big 5 in scoring all three seasons. He won the Robert V. Geasey Trophy three times — given to the top Big 5 player — a feat accomplished by only four players in the award's history. Durrett was a Consensus second-team All-American in 1971 before a knee injury curtailed his career.
