Ken Harrelson

Kenneth Smith Harrelson (born September 4, 1941, in Woodruff, South Carolina) played Major League Baseball from 1963 to 1971 as a first baseman and outfielder. Known as "the Hawk," he appeared for four clubs during his nine-season career: the Kansas City Athletics, Washington Senators, Boston Red Sox, and Cleveland Indians. After his playing days, Harrelson spent 33 years as a play-by-play announcer for the Chicago White Sox. In December 2019 he was named the 2020 recipient of the Ford C. Frick Award, presented annually to a broadcaster for major contributions to baseball.
