Ken Reitz

Kenneth John Reitz (1951–2021) was a third baseman who played 11 seasons in Major League Baseball from 1972 to 1982. Drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in 1969 out of Jefferson High School in Daly City, California, he spent the bulk of his career in St. Louis before stints with the San Francisco Giants, Chicago Cubs, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Nicknamed "Zamboni," Reitz won the Gold Glove Award in 1975 and was selected to the All-Star Game in 1980. He led the National League in fielding percentage six times and retired with the highest career fielding percentage among National League third basemen at .970.
