Kenny Ploen (June 3, 1935 – February 13, 2024) was a quarterback and safety from Lost Nation, Iowa who played college football at Iowa under the Wing-T offense, earning All-American honors as the Hawkeyes went 9-1 in 1956, won their first Big Ten title in 35 years, and made their first bowl appearance. He went on to star at the same positions for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the Canadian Football League, where he was part of multiple Grey Cup championships. In 2009, fans and the Canadian Football Hall of Fame named him the Most Outstanding CFL Player of the 1960s.
