Kevin Grevey

Kevin Michael Grevey, born May 12, 1953, is an American former professional basketball player. A 6-foot-5-inch left-handed swingman, he played for the Washington Bullets from 1975 to 1983 and the Milwaukee Bucks from 1983 to 1985.

Grevey played college basketball for the Kentucky Wildcats. He was a member of coach Adolph Rupp's final freshman class and, because freshmen were not eligible for varsity play at the time, competed his three collegiate seasons under Rupp's successor, Joe B. Hall. He was named First-Team All-Southeastern Conference in each of his three seasons and an All-American in his junior and senior years. In his senior season, Kentucky lost to UCLA in the championship game of the NCAA tournament, the final game of UCLA coach John Wooden's career; Grevey scored a game-high 34 points and was named to the all-Final Four team.

After his playing career, Grevey worked as a talent scout with the Los Angeles Lakers for nineteen seasons. He later served as a scout with the Charlotte Hornets and as a color commentator for college basketball games, including national radio broadcasts on Westwood One.
