Kid Elberfeld

Norman Arthur "Kid" Elberfeld (April 13, 1875 – January 13, 1944) was a professional baseball shortstop who spent parts of five decades in the major leagues. He played for the Philadelphia Phillies, Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers, New York Highlanders, Washington Senators, and Brooklyn Robins between 1898 and 1914, also serving as manager of the Highlanders for the second half of the 1908 season. Known as "the Tabasco Kid" for his volcanic temper, Elberfeld was ejected from major league games 22 times as a player and four times as a manager, and on one occasion physically assaulted umpire Silk O'Loughlin before being removed by police.
