Kurt Andersson

Dossier
Stig Emanuel "Stickan" Andersson (1914–2000) was a Swedish right winger who spent his career with Hammarby IF in Stockholm, where he competed in ice hockey, football, and bandy for the same club. He began playing hockey in Elitserien in 1932 and won six Swedish championships with Hammarby — in 1933, 1936, 1937, 1942, 1943, and 1946 — making 220 appearances and scoring 120 goals. Known as both a goalscorer and playmaker, he formed a productive line with centre Kurt Kjellström and left winger Holger Nurmela in the 1940s. Andersson earned 38 caps for Sweden and represented the national team at the 1936 and 1948 Winter Olympics.
