Larry Cahan

Lawrence Louis Henry Cahan (December 25, 1933 – June 25, 1992) was a Canadian professional ice hockey player who competed in the National Hockey League and the World Hockey Association. Born in Fort William, Ontario, Cahan played from 1953 to 1974, a professional career spanning more than two decades.

Over those years he appeared with the Toronto Maple Leafs, New York Rangers, Oakland Seals, and Los Angeles Kings in the NHL, and the Chicago Cougars in the WHA. On January 13, 1968, while playing for the Oakland Seals against the Minnesota North Stars, Cahan was involved in the accident that caused the death of Bill Masterton.

Cahan died on June 25, 1992, at his home in Coquitlam, British Columbia, from a short-term illness.
