Larry Seiple

Larry Robert Seiple (born February 14, 1945) is an American former professional football player and coach who played as a punter for the Miami Dolphins. Born in Allentown, Pennsylvania, Seiple played football at William Allen High School before attending the University of Kentucky, where he served as a wide receiver and running back for the Wildcats while also handling punts, kickoffs, and kickoff returns. As a junior, he was a second-team All-Southeastern Conference selection, averaging 4.3 yards per carry, scoring nine touchdowns, and gaining 1,081 yards of offense. Over three seasons at Kentucky, he gained 2,137 yards from scrimmage.

The Dolphins selected Seiple in the seventh round of the 1967 NFL draft. He played for the Miami Dolphins of the American Football League from 1967 through 1969 and continued with the NFL's Dolphins from 1970 through 1977. During his time in Miami, Seiple was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams: Super Bowl VII following the 1972 season, when the Dolphins posted the only undefeated regular-season and post-season record to date in NFL history, and Super Bowl VIII following the 1973 season.
