Lawrence Sherry (July 25, 1935 – December 17, 2006) was a right-handed relief pitcher who played in Major League Baseball from 1958 to 1968, most prominently with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Detroit Tigers. Born in Los Angeles into a Jewish family, Sherry attended Fairfax High School and overcame clubfeet that required surgery in infancy. He was named Most Valuable Player of the 1959 World Series, helping the Dodgers claim their first championship since relocating from Brooklyn. After his playing career, he managed in the minor leagues and served as a coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates and California Angels.
