Larry Zeidel

Lazarus "Larry The Rock" Zeidel (June 1, 1928 – June 17, 2014) was a Canadian professional ice hockey defenceman born in Montreal, Quebec. He spent the bulk of his career with the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League, logging nine seasons, while also appearing in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings, Chicago Black Hawks, and Philadelphia Flyers across a career spanning 1947 to 1969. In 1959–60, Zeidel set an AHL record with 293 penalty minutes, and at the time of his retirement he held the all-time minor league record for penalty minutes, making him one of the most penalized players in the game's history.
