Len St. Jean

Leonard Wayne St. Jean (1941–2025) played guard and defensive end for the Boston/New England Patriots across ten seasons in the AFL and NFL, appearing in 140 games. A Newberry, Michigan native, he played defensive end at Northern Michigan University, earning NAIA All-American honors. Drafted by both the Green Bay Packers (17th round, NFL) and the Boston Patriots (9th round, AFL) in 1964, he signed with Boston and began his career at defensive end before moving exclusively to guard in 1966. That year he earned AFL All-Star recognition and was later named to the Patriots' All-1960s AFL Team. He was known around the team as "Boston Strong Boy."
