Len Wilkens

Len Wilkens was honored in the second class of inductees of the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame, where he was recognized among the coaches alongside Red Sarachek, Nat Holman, and Red Holtzman, as well as fellow enshrinees Dolly King, Fuzzy Levane, Ned Irish, Tiny Archibald, Bobby Wanzer, and Bob Douglas. The hall, which recognizes the best players, coaches, referees, promoters, and contributors in the history of basketball in New York City, inducted its inaugural class in September 1990, with Wilkens following in the next class. Candidates are nominated by the public and chosen annually by a select committee made up of Hall of Famers, media personalities, and former players and coaches.
