Dossier

Lenny Green was an American professional baseball outfielder who played 12 seasons in Major League Baseball between 1957 and 1968. Born in Detroit, Michigan, he broke into the majors with the Baltimore Orioles after serving in the U.S. Army and working through their farm system. A left-handed batter and thrower, Green served as the regular center fielder for the Washington Senators in their final season in Washington (1960) and for the Minnesota Twins in their first two seasons in Minneapolis-St. Paul (1961–62). He also started in center field for the 1965 Boston Red Sox, and finished his career with his hometown Detroit Tigers.
