Leo Sugar

Leo Sugar (April 6, 1929 – September 23, 2020) was a defensive end who played nine seasons in the NFL for the Chicago/St. Louis Cardinals, Philadelphia Eagles, and Detroit Lions. A Flint, Michigan native, Sugar played college football at Purdue University, where he earned All-Big Ten honors and was named to the 1951 All-American team. Selected in the eleventh round of the 1952 NFL Draft, he went on to earn two Pro Bowl selections during his professional career. Sugar died in September 2020 at the age of 91.
