Mack Calvin

Mack Calvin (born July 27, 1947) is an American former basketball player who competed as a 6'0" point guard. Born in Fort Worth, Texas, Calvin attended Long Beach Poly in California before playing collegiately at Long Beach City College and the University of Southern California. After excelling in his final season at USC, he was selected in the 14th round of the 1969 NBA draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.

Rather than enter the NBA, Calvin signed with the upstart Los Angeles Stars of the American Basketball Association. He reached the ABA Finals in his lone season with the team before being traded to The Floridians, where he played the next two seasons. Over seven ABA seasons he played for five different teams and was named an All-Star five times. His 3,067 assists rank as the second most in ABA history.

Following the ABA–NBA merger, Calvin played for five further teams, closing out his career in 1981 with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

One of nine players named to the ABA All-Star Game five times, Calvin was selected to the ABA All-Time Team in 1997.
