Mark Steven Howe (born May 28, 1955) is a Canadian-American former professional ice hockey defenseman and left winger who played from 1973 to 1995 across the World Hockey Association and National Hockey League. The son of Gordie Howe, he played alongside his father and brother Marty from 1973 to 1980. Howe won the WHA's Lou Kaplan Trophy as rookie of the year in 1974, was named to the WHA All-Star Team three times, and led all scorers in the 1975 WHA playoffs with 22 points. In the NHL he was a three-time Norris Trophy runner-up. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011.
