Dossier

Mark Moseley (born March 12, 1948) was a placekicker in the National Football League for 16 seasons. A native of Livingston, Texas, he played quarterback at Texas A&M University and Stephen F. Austin State University before converting to kicker. Selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 14th round of the 1970 NFL draft, he also played for the Houston Oilers (1971–72) and spent the bulk of his career with the Washington Redskins (1974–86), finishing with a brief stint with the Cleveland Browns in 1986. Moseley won the NFL Most Valuable Player Award during the strike-shortened 1982 season, making him the only pure special teams player to win the award.
