Marshall Johnston

Marshall Johnston (born June 6, 1941) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman, coach, and executive. He played collegiate hockey at the University of Denver, where he earned All-American honors, before joining the NHL with the Minnesota North Stars and California Golden Seals. Johnston represented Canada at the 1964 and 1968 Winter Olympics, serving as team captain in 1968. He later coached at Denver from 1977 to 1981 and behind NHL benches with the Golden Seals and Colorado Rockies, then served as general manager of the Ottawa Senators. He was inducted into the IIHF Hall of Fame in 1998.
