Metro Prystai

Dmytro "Metro" Prystai (November 7, 1927 – October 8, 2013) was a Ukrainian-Canadian professional ice hockey forward whose parents emigrated from Ternopil, Ukraine. He began his NHL career with the Chicago Black Hawks in 1947 and later joined the Detroit Red Wings, with whom he won Stanley Cup championships in 1952 and 1954. Over a 12-year NHL career he earned three All-Star Game appearances before leaving the league after the 1958 season. Following retirement he operated an insurance company in Wynyard, Saskatchewan, where he died in 2013 at age 85.
