Dossier

Michael Joseph Douglas Corrigan (born January 11, 1946) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey forward who played 594 games in the National Hockey League. Born in Ottawa, Ontario, he spent his NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings, Vancouver Canucks, and Pittsburgh Penguins.

Corrigan's best season came in 1972-73, when he scored 37 goals for the Kings. He was frequently paired with Bob Berry and Juha Widing on a line nicknamed "The Hot Line." In 1975-76, he recorded 22 goals. In game six of a quarterfinal series against the Boston Bruins, Corrigan was tripped but scored while lying on his stomach in the closing moments to tie a game the Kings went on to win in overtime.

After his playing career, Corrigan served as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Penguins from 1981 until 1984.
