Mike Lucci

Michael Gene Lucci (December 29, 1939 – October 26, 2021) was a linebacker who played 12 seasons in the NFL, spending three years with the Cleveland Browns (1962–1964) and nine with the Detroit Lions (1965–1973). Born in Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Lucci did not play football until his senior year of high school. He attended the University of Pittsburgh before transferring to the University of Tennessee, where he was named an All-American in 1961 and earned a spot on the SEC All-Star Team. He appeared in both the College All-Star Game and the Senior Bowl heading into the 1962 NFL season.
