Mike Mitchell

Michael Francis Mitchell (December 9, 1879 - July 16, 1961). He was a native of Springfield, Ohio, listed in playing days at 6'1", 185 lbs. He batted right-handed and threw right-handed. His major-league career ran from 1907 through 1914, primarily with the Cincinnati Reds of the National League. His broader professional ledger — including minor-league seasons — extends from 1902 through 1916. On the cardboard side, his vintage presence runs through T204 Ramly and T206 White Border, the two issues where period collectors most often encounter him. He died on July 16, 1961 in Phoenix, Arizona. He is interred at St. Francis Catholic Cemetery in Phoenix, Arizona.
