Mike Pyle

Michael Johnson Pyle (July 18, 1939 – July 29, 2015) was a center who played nine seasons in the National Football League for the Chicago Bears, from 1961 through 1969. Born in Keokuk, Iowa, Pyle attended New Trier High School in Winnetka, Illinois, where he competed in wrestling, discus, and shot put, winning Illinois state championships in all three in 1957. He went on to Yale University before beginning his professional career. In 2019, he was named one of the 100 greatest Bears of All-Time.
