Monty Stickles (August 16, 1938 – September 3, 2006) was a tight end who played nine seasons in the NFL after being selected in the first round of the 1960 NFL Draft. He spent his professional career with the San Francisco 49ers and the New Orleans Saints. At Notre Dame, where he played end from 1957 to 1959, Stickles was a three-year starter and earned All-American recognition twice, reaching consensus All-American status as a senior in 1959. Known as a sure-handed receiver and a physical blocker, he stood 6'4" and weighed 215 pounds during his college years.
