John Murray Murdoch (1904–2001) was a Canadian left wing who played 508 games for the New York Rangers from 1926 to 1937, never missing a contest during his entire NHL career. Born in Lucknow, Ontario and raised in Edgerton, Alberta, he played hockey at the University of Manitoba before turning professional. With New York, Murdoch recorded 84 goals and 108 assists and won the Stanley Cup in 1928 and 1933. After retiring, he coached Yale University from 1938 to 1965.
