Nate Hawthorne

Nate Hawthorne (January 19, 1951 – November 23, 2005) was a professional basketball player from Mount Vernon, Illinois. He attended Southern Illinois University before entering the NBA, where he spent three seasons split between the Los Angeles Lakers (1973–74) and the Phoenix Suns (1974–76). Hawthorne died on November 23, 2005, at age 54, after suffering a massive heart attack outside his home in Tempe, Arizona.
