Dossier

Norman Gerard Ferguson (born October 16, 1945) was a Canadian right wing who played professional hockey from the mid-1960s through the early 1970s. After junior seasons with the Montreal Junior Canadiens and time in the Central and American Hockey Leagues, Ferguson broke into the NHL with the Oakland Seals in 1968–69, setting the franchise's single-season goals record with 34 and finishing second to Danny Grant in Calder Memorial Trophy voting. Selected by the New York Islanders in the 1972 Expansion Draft, he instead signed with the WHA's New York Raiders. Ferguson was inducted into the Nova Scotia Sports Hall of Fame in 1982.
