Norm Nixon

Norman Ellard Nixon (born October 11, 1955, Macon, Georgia) played guard in the NBA for the Los Angeles Lakers and San Diego/Los Angeles Clippers, and later with Scavolini Pesaro in Italy. Nicknamed "Stormin' Norman," he was a two-time NBA All-Star who won back-to-back championships with the Lakers in 1980 and 1982 at the onset of their Showtime era. Before basketball, Nixon was a standout multi-sport athlete at Southwest High School in Macon, earning all-state honors in both basketball and football and drawing free-agent tryout interest from the Pittsburgh Steelers and Dallas Cowboys.
