Pat Moran

Pat Moran, given name Patrick Joseph (February 7, 1876 – March 7, 1924). He was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts and died in Orlando, Florida. He stood 5 feet 10 inches and weighed 180 pounds. He batted and threw right-handed. He debuted in the majors in 1901 and played his last big-league season in 1914, a stretch of 14 seasons, primarily with the Chicago Cubs of the National League. His full professional career, including the minor leagues, ran from 1897 through 1914. After his playing days he managed in the majors from 1915 through 1923. His card presence in this catalog spans the T204 Ramly tobacco issue of 1909, distributed by the Mentor Cigarette Company and recognizable by its ornate gold-bordered frames and the T206 White Border tobacco issue, distributed by the American Tobacco Company between 1909 and 1911. He is interred at St. Bernard's Cemetery in Fitchburg, Massachusetts (St. John Section - Range 5 - Lot 3).
