Pat Studstill

Pat Studstill (June 4, 1938 – October 16, 2021) played 12 seasons in the NFL as a wide receiver, punter, and return specialist. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, he attended the University of Houston before signing with the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent in 1961. He spent seven seasons in Detroit, followed by stints with the Los Angeles Rams (1968–1971) and New England Patriots (1972). Studstill led the NFL in punt return yards in 1962 and in 1966 topped the league in both receiving yards (1,266) and punting yards (3,259), also tying an NFL record with a 99-yard touchdown reception that season.
