Pat Summerall

George Allen "Pat" Summerall (May 10, 1930 – April 16, 2013) played college football at Arkansas before entering the NFL in 1952, where he spent his best years as a kicker for the New York Giants through 1961. Following his playing career, he joined CBS in 1962 as a color commentator, eventually pairing with John Madden for NFL telecasts on CBS and Fox. Summerall announced 16 Super Bowls on network television, 26 Masters Tournaments, and 21 US Opens. He was named National Sportscaster of the Year in 1977 and inducted into the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association Hall of Fame in 1994.
