Pete Beathard (born March 7, 1942) was a quarterback who played in the AFL, NFL, and WFL. A southern California native, he attended El Segundo High School before playing college football at USC, where he led the Trojans to the national championship in 1962. He was named co-Player of the Game alongside Wisconsin's Ron Vander Kelen in USC's 42–37 Rose Bowl victory. Beathard was the fifth overall pick in the 1964 NFL Draft by Detroit and the second overall AFL pick by Kansas City, where he signed and backed up Len Dawson. He is the younger brother of NFL executive Bobby Beathard.
