Peter Joseph Brennan (September 23, 1936 – June 8, 2012) was an American basketball player who spent one season in the National Basketball Association with the New York Knicks. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Brennan played collegiately for the University of North Carolina, where he was named ACC Men's Basketball Player of the Year for the 1957–58 season. The New York Knicks selected him in the first round of the 1958 NBA draft, fourth overall. He appeared in 16 games for the Knicks during the 1958–59 season. Brennan was inducted into the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame in 2007. He died of prostate cancer on June 8, 2012, in Durham, North Carolina.
