Pete LoPresti

Peter Jon LoPresti, an American professional ice hockey goaltender, was born on May 23, 1954. He is the son of former National Hockey League goaltender Sam LoPresti.
LoPresti played college ice hockey for the University of Denver before beginning his NHL career with the Minnesota North Stars in 1974, where he became the league's youngest regular goaltender that season. He also represented the United States men's national team at the 1976 Canada Cup and at the Ice Hockey World Championships in 1976 and 1978.
In 1978–79, LoPresti lost his job as the North Stars' starting goaltender to Gilles Meloche. He retired for the first time after failing to make the Edmonton Oilers roster the following season, then briefly returned to the Oilers for the 1980–81 NHL season before retiring for good.
