Dossier

Peter Gerard Richert (born October 29, 1939, in Floral Park, New York) was a left-handed pitcher who played Major League Baseball from 1962 through 1974. He attended Sewanhaka High School on Long Island, where he led his team to the Long Island baseball championship as a senior. Signed by the Brooklyn Dodgers in 1957, he is notable as the last player ever signed by that franchise before the club relocated to Los Angeles. Richert went on to pitch for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Washington Senators, Baltimore Orioles, St. Louis Cardinals, and Philadelphia Phillies across his major league career.
