Dossier

Raymond Francis Krouse (1927–1966) was a defensive lineman who played college football at the University of Maryland before serving in the U.S. Navy reserves during the World War II era. The New York Giants selected him in the second round of the 1951 NFL draft, and he was part of a Giants defense that led the league in fewest total yards and rushing yards allowed that season. His best professional season came in 1952. In April 1956, he was traded to the Detroit Lions in exchange for defensive tackle Dick Modzelewski, and he later played for the Baltimore Colts and Washington Redskins.
