Ray Wietecha

Raymond Walter Wietecha (November 2, 1928 – December 14, 2002) played center for the New York Giants of the NFL, having previously played college football at Michigan State and Northwestern. During his ten-year career with New York, he never missed a game, playing 124 consecutive games and starting 112 straight at center over nine seasons. He was selected to the Pro Bowl four times and earned first or second team All-Pro honors four times. Wietecha appeared in five NFL championship games between 1956 and 1962. After his playing career, he served as offensive line coach for the Green Bay Packers teams that won three consecutive NFL championships and the first two Super Bowls.
