Rebel Oakes (December 17, 1883 – March 1, 1948) was born Ennis Telfair and hailed from Lisbon, Louisiana. At 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, he batted left-handed and threw right. He played in the major leagues from 1909 through 1915, a 6-season run, spending most of his career with the St. Louis Cardinals of the National League. His broader professional career stretched from 1904 to 1921, bracketing his major-league years on both ends. His card record includes appearances on E254 Colgan's Chips, E90-1 American Caramel, E92 Nadja Caramels, and T206 White Border. He died March 1, 1948 in Lisbon, Louisiana and is buried at Rocky Springs Cemetery.
