George Reginald "Red" Horner (1909–2005) was a Canadian ice hockey defenceman who played for the Toronto Maple Leafs from 1928 to 1940. Born in Lynden, Ontario, he came up through the Toronto Marlboros junior program before joining the NHL. An enforcer by role, Horner served as Leafs captain from 1938 until his retirement and was part of the 1932 Stanley Cup championship team. He finished his career with 42 goals, 110 assists, and 1,264 penalty minutes across 490 regular season games, leading the NHL in penalty minutes for seven seasons. He was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 1965.
