Red Rocha

Ephraim Joseph "Red" Rocha (1923–2010) was a 6'9" center who played college basketball at Oregon State University, earning All-Pacific Coast Conference honors in 1945, 1946, and 1947, and All-American recognition in 1947. He played in the BAA and NBA in the late 1940s and early 1950s, representing the Baltimore Bullets in the inaugural 1951 NBA All-Star Game. Rocha won an NBA title with the Syracuse Nationals in 1955 and finished his career with 6,362 points. The first Hawaii-born player in the NBA, he later served as head coach of the Detroit Pistons from 1958 to 1960.
