Reed Larson

Reed Larson (born July 30, 1956) is an American defenseman who played 904 regular season NHL games between 1976 and 1990. A product of Minneapolis Roosevelt High School and three seasons with the Minnesota Gophers under coach Herb Brooks, Larson was selected by the Detroit Red Wings with the 22nd pick of the 1976 NHL Entry Draft, later serving as team captain. He appeared in the 1988 Stanley Cup Finals with the Boston Bruins. Larson is an inducted member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame and a recipient of the Lester Patrick Trophy.
