Rick Kehoe

Richard Thomas Kehoe, born July 15, 1951, is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player and coach. He played junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey Association with the London Knights and the Hamilton Red Wings before the Toronto Maple Leafs selected him in the second round, 22nd overall, of the 1971 NHL entry draft. He appeared in 32 games with the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League in 1971 before being promoted to the Maple Leafs midway through the 1972 season. In 1973 he led Toronto in goal scoring with 33 goals.

Kehoe was traded to the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1974 and spent the remainder of his playing days there. A notably clean player, he recorded just 120 penalty minutes over a 14-season career. He won the Lady Byng Trophy in 1981, a season in which he scored a career-best 55 goals. Kehoe retired after the 1985 season as the Penguins' career scoring leader, though most of his records were later surpassed by Mario Lemieux. He went on to work as a coach.
