Rickey Young

Rickey Darnell Young (born December 7, 1953) was a running back who played nine seasons in the NFL without missing a single game. He played college football at Jackson State University alongside teammates Walter Payton and Robert Brazile. Selected by the San Diego Chargers in the seventh round of the 1975 NFL Draft, he spent three seasons in San Diego before being traded to the Minnesota Vikings in 1978. That first Vikings season he led the NFL with 88 receptions, breaking the record for catches by a running back. He retired with 408 career receptions, at the time an NFL record for running backs.
